Summertime in the Plantation

It is summertime in Providence Plantation, so the kids are out of school, the neighborhood pool is crowded, and everybody is planning or going on vacation. It is still early summer, so the good times have only just begun!

On a more serious note another fact of summer is that the walkers, runners, bikers and skateboarders are out in full force. I hope everybody will remember the rules of the road and do the right things. To the drivers in particular, please remember that you are in a neighborhood and drive patiently. Between the stop signs, speed bumps and non-drivers on the road, it is impossible to get through the neighborhood quickly. So please just accept that fact and drive accordingly. To the non-drivers, please try to stay to the side of the road, and out of the way of the cars. And it would also be a good idea to wear brightly colored clothing to make yourself more visible, especially at night.

We at the HOA are still working on our membership drive and I would like to thank each and every family that paid their dues. For those of you that haven’t joined yet, the cost is only $80 per year and your contribution is going to a good cause. And let me remind you that you can pay by credit card using PayPal.

Also, let me remind all members that you can update your HOA profile online, including phone number, email address, and the information you want to be published in the neighborhood directory. I hope you have all checked your profile to make sure your information is up to date. You can also look up other neighbors in the online directory once you are logged in (if you have paid your dues!)
