In the HOA Newsletter that you recently received, we announced a public meeting on Monday January 21st, which would feature a presentation by a representative of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to discuss the upcoming construction on I-485. The speaker has just notified us he will not be able to attend. The reason given is that NCDOT is in discussions with the contractor, and they are in the process of making substantial changes to the pre-existing plans. Therefore, until those discussions are concluded, and new plans are agreed upon, there is nothing he can say. Without this speaker there is no reason for all of us to gather, so the meeting is cancelled.
The HOA will continue to monitor the situation and if/when the NCDOT is willing to give a public presentation on their new plans, we hope to sponsor a new public meeting. For, now I can only apologize for the inconvenience.
